1. You Must Take Care of You.
As leaders, we are so accustomed to making sure everyone else is ok, that we can ignore our own needs. Honesty and transparency are critical to how we lead and the state of our own mental health. We must be real about where we are. If you are hurting, if you are struggling, if your relationships are suffering, focus on that and don’t fall for the pressure to excel in the midst of crisis. Being a strong leader doesn’t make you immune to the ills of live. Being a strong leader doesn’t make you immune to hardships of a pandemic. What it can do is create a space for you to be vulnerable. When you’re vulnerable it allows other people to be vulnerable. As leaders, we are so accustomed to making sure everyone else is ok, that we can ignore our own needs. Click To Tweet
