2 Highlights From This Episode
1. How do you keep going?
I am very motivated by people who are trying to make things better. God is always going to step in and take care of someone and I don’t want to miss out on the opportunity to provide that care. After a major defining moment in college it is very normal for me to engage in something risky or controversial and follow God’s open door to where ever the opportunity leads. I truly feel that God gave me an invitation and I didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity.I truly feel that God gave me an invitation and I didn't want to miss out on the opportunity. @KadiCole Click To Tweet
2. How do you shut down fear?
Fear is a huge piece of leadership. We can all get into an unhealthy place of fear. When our fears are focusing on failure, disapproval, being overlooked or our own reputation we’ve wandered into a place that is not godly fear but instead are rooted in our own human weaknesses. This is the dark side of caution. I had to overcome the pressure to be perfect, the pressure to nail it or deliver well the very first time. I was willing to take God at his word and be obedient one step at a time. If it works, I’ll keep moving forward. If it doesn’t, then I’ll do something else. Following where God leads is a grand experiment and we get to learn along the way. When you experiment failure is not only allowed but it’s expected.Focusing on the fear of failure, disapproval, being overlooked or our own reputation is the dark side of caution. @KadiCole Click To Tweet We must overcome the pressure to be perfect, to nail it, to deliver well the first time. @KadiCole Click To Tweet
